Hi there, thank you for visiting me! I am a mother, wife, WBFF Pro Fitness Model, and group fitness fanatic. I have been a trainer at every high-demand and up-and-coming gym from Los Angeles to Orange County, landing me the title of “group x guru” and “the duchess of fitness”. I’ve worked at numerous big name locales including Lagree Fitness, Pilates Plus, and Barry’s Bootcamp, along with a dozen or so various rave-like spinning studios complete with strobe lights and plenty of bass. I love everything high energy and am incredibly passionate about keeping things interesting and changing stuff up! Such defines my style of training, which in turn gives my clients the best results; you have to keep the body guessing!
I wish that I had a super crazy and inspiring tale of physical transformation to share with you as part of my journey, but that just isn’t the case. Honestly, ever since I was a child I’ve been pretty active and full of energy, energy that constantly needed to be burned. I gave my mother a run for her money with all of my interests and intensity, and was lucky that she was allowed me to participate in any and every extra-curricular that caught my eye. All that being said, I haven’t always stayed on track with health and wellness. In the past I struggled deeply with trying to find myself time and time again, I changed my mind about so many things in my life….and this indecision inevitably took a toll on my health.
I struggled a lot academically growing up; I had trouble focusing on one thing and always felt so scattered. For all of my extra-curricular dabbling, I finally committed to sticking to one thing and from elementary through high school I was a competitive figure skater….until one day I simply quit, walked away.
By the time I went to college I had decided to major in Literature and Journalism, only to face the harsh realization that it would be near impossible be to utilize what felt like a useless degree. Back to feeling lost again, I left and ended up in Denver, Colorado. There I worked a corporate job in financial services, and yet again I felt stagnant, bored and restless…stuck. On a whim, I decided to enroll in a graduate program in an effort to get my MBA in International Business and Finance. I was doing what society expected of me, going through the motions and necessary steps to establish a promising future for myself, but I felt empty, hollow, like I had lost myself.
In an effort to find myself, I started training in martial arts. Something about the discipline, the sweat and dedication spoke to me and I quickly fell in love with it. I found myself enlightened; through the work on the mat I felt the resistance melt away, and realized that I needed to align myself with my true purpose – helping others. Pregnant with my daughter, I decided that I would take the plunge and do what I loved – I would help people reach their goals, and guide them in realizing their full potential.
I will never claim to be an expert – in the world of health and wellness things are constantly changing and there is always more to learn. That being said, I do promise you that we can be on this ever-changing, vastly growing and deliciously abundant journey of health and wellness together! I created this space as a platform to share what I know and love, and to hopefully leave each and every one of you better, stronger, happier and more complete than when you first came here.
